‘Stage Shorts’ takes the stage Aug. 17

Springville Center for the Arts presents the second annual “Staged Shorts” on Thursday, Aug.17 and Friday, Aug. 18. These two evenings of short plays will feature playwrights from across the region. Each night will feature the same nine plays, with an average of 10 minutes per play.

Catherine Burkhart is directing “Spirit of Buffalo” by Donna Hoke; Brandon Allistair Czerwinski is directing “Over the Te ars” by Mark C. Lloyd; Matt Boyle is directing “Snow Patterns” by Jim Marzo and Pylon and “Thunderthighs” by T.J. Snodgrass.; Rick Manzone is directing “Odd Scouts Out” by Jenn Dlugos; Edwin Heary is directing “The Offer” by Bella Poynton; Mike Kowal is directing “Guns and Roses” by Mike Randall; Pamela Morley is directing “Making America Great....Again?”

by Karen McDonald; and Joseph Cassidy is directing “Coming Home” by Anna Kay Francis.

“Staged Shorts” takes the stage 8 p.m. Aug. 17 - 18 at the Carol Mongerson Theater, 37 North Buffalo St., Springville. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for students and seniors. The group rate is $8 per ticket with a minimum of 15 tickets purchased.
